I am so excited to share this sunny engagement session with y’all. If you’re not familiar with Baxter Gardens, it is a hidden gem in Fountain City, Tennessee. It is only open to the public for a few weeks in April, but we took advantage of it! I am so happy that these two agreed to meet at this bloom-filled wonderland.
If you live in Knoxville, you know how much rain we have received in April. Zach and Kaley are actual angels because after having to reschedule their initial engagement session because of nasty weather, we FINALLY got the gorgeous weather we have all been waiting for! In Kaley’s words, “everything happens for a reason”.. and man is she right. We couldn’t have had better weather and the light we had was gorgeous!
Kaley and I first spoke on the phone a few months ago about their wedding in December at Dara’s Garden in Knoxville. You know those people you instantly feel like you have been friends with forever? That was Kaley. I felt like we had known each other our entire lives! After texting back and forth before their engagement session, I was getting so excited to meet these two.
After spending the evening with them this weekend, I am SO ecstatic to photograph their sweet winter wedding at Dara’s Garden. I know every detail is going to be absolutely perfect. When we first spoke, Kaley told me that family heirlooms were really important to them (I LOVE stuff like that). Zach worked with Kaley’s Dad to use her mom’s diamond for Kaley’s engagement ring. How beautiful is that!?
When I didn’t think the day could get any better, Kaley pulled me over to their truck afterward and said, “I have something for you!”
She then proceeds to pull out a bottle of Merlot (which is my FAVVVVV red wine, by the way) and the sweetest card. COME ON. I have the BEST couples, y’all.
By the way, I am still booking 2019 and 2020 weddings– if you want to have fun like this at your session, contact me here!
