This Spring has been so good for my soul! I have been able to photograph the most BEAUTIFUL and INCREDIBLE human beings.
I met Ethan and Maria a few summers ago when I came to photograph a senior session in Byrdstown, Tennessee. These two are super special to me because they were friends with my husband, Aaron, in high school.
I was more than excited when Ethan and Maria asked me to photograph their wedding and engagement. These two are high school sweethearts and you can tell that they have such a deep foundation to their relationship. Their wedding will be a quaint backyard wedding at Ethan’s house this summer…. so it was only fitting that we did their engagement session RIGHT where the ceremony will be.
We had been counting on the date for their engagement session for weeks but low and behold, like true Tennessee fashion, the whole weekend was calling for rain. ALL. WEEKEND. We all three decided that rain or shine, we were going to have fun with the session either way. (By the way, weather is completely uncontrollable! The best tip to deal with negative weather for a session or wedding?? Have fun with it!)
We had a two hour cloudy window with a lower chance of rain and decided to go for it! The BEST thing happened. The sun came out for the exact amount of time for our session and the moment we were finished, the clouds and rain came back out. I couldn’t even believe it!
Check out the magic that happened below!
